‘Wolf Creek’ Season 2 begins production for Stan

Wolf Creek: Season 1

The Stan Original drama series WOLF CREEK, based on the internationally successful film of the same name, has commenced filming on its second season in South Australia. The show will stream exclusive to Stan.

Showrunner and director Greg McLean and star John Jarratt continue their collaboration in the world of serial killer Mick Taylor, alongside Tess Haubrich, Matt Day, Ben Oxenbould, Laura Wheelwright, Stephen Hunter, and Chris Haywood.

The six-part drama series is described by Stan as “a high-end psychological thriller pitting a diverse cast of characters against an inhospitable, remote landscape, whose lethal dangers are personified by the series’ infamous serial killer. Mick Taylor sees an opportunity of a lifetime after a chance encounter with a coach full of tourists from around the globe. The unwitting travellers begin an outback adventure none of them could have imagined.”

WOLF CREEK Season 2 joins the growing Stan Originals slate of award-winning, fresh and diverse dramas, comedies and movies, including the AACTA Award-winning and Logie Award-nominated series No Activityand One Night Stan, a series of full-length stand-up comedy specials and the forthcoming comedy The Other Guy starring Matt Okine.

Last month, Stan announced The Second, its first original Australian film with Screen Queensland. This continues the local streaming service’s commitment to local content while continuing to obtain high-profile imports like Twin Peaks and Better Call Saul.
