They’ve named the Han Solo film. It’s SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY. You have no idea how many times we rewrote the headline.
Director Ron Howard made the announcement via social media. “I hope you’ve enjoyed the pictures that I’ve been sharing, pictures that I’ve taken from the set of—can we even say the name of the movie?” he joking asks someone off screen.
The film stars Alden Ehrenreich as a young Han Solo, with Donald Glover joining him as a young Lando Calrissian. In June this year, Howard took over directing duties from Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, who left (or were asked to leave) the production three quarters of the way through production.
SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY film is due for release on 24 May 2018 in Australia and 25 May from Disney.
