‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ is sequel title reveals Holland, speculation begins

Spider-Man: Homecoming

Tom Holland can’t stop letting things slip. Updating fans on his Instagram account, he “accidentally” revealed the title and logo on his iPad. SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME will be the next Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man film. You can check out the video below.

Hours after the apparent slip, Holland went on stage at ACE Comic Con in Seattle where he confirmed to host Kevin Smith that it was the real title. So unless this is a massive practical joke for whatever reason, the ‘home’ theme continues from Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, the notion of a Spider-Man sequel was a baffling prospect. However, if you really thought that we’d never see Spidey again, you haven’t been paying attention to release dates.

We know the film will pick up immediately after the events of the untitled fourth Avengers film, and will feature a globetrotting Spidey visiting London. “Spidey, of course, will spend some time in New York, but he’ll spend some time in other parts of the globe,” confirmed studio head Kevin Feige in an earlier interview,  adding “the two Avengers films that precede [the sequel] will greatly inform, probably even more so, the next movie.

Shooting begins next month, and the film is due to hit cinemas in July 2019 from Sony.
