Danny Boyle will no longer be directing the untitled 25th James Bond film. The announcement was made Wednesday morning via Twitter.

In tweet from the official James Bond account, a brief joint statement was made on behalf of the producers and the star.

Michael G. Wilson, Barbara Broccoli and Daniel Craig today announced that due to creative differences Danny Boyle has decided to no longer direct Bond 25.

Boyle was officially announced as the director as recently as May, making this announcement all the more of a shock.

Production was to begin in December 2018 with 8 November 2019 target for the release of the film. This will undoubtedly change. Now we wait to see who will be announced as the new director. Ron Howard seems to be good at stepping into these big productions.
